Green ‘New Year’ comet Lovejoy to be visible in Metro Vancouver

Do not miss this celestial event early in the New Year, it will not be returning for thousands of years. On January 7, the bright and green glowing comet Lovejoy will make its closest approach to our planet – about 70.2 million kilometres away.

Lovejoy is also expected to put on a stunning show visible to the naked eye over Earth’s night skies before and after its nearest position. It boasts a fan-shaped tail at least 300,000 kms long, which will glow brilliantly as it nears the Sun.

The film, starring US actors Seth Rogen and James Franco, is a comedy about a CIA plot to assassinate its leader Kim Jong-Un, played by Randall Park. Sony Pictures on December 17, 2014 canceled the December 25 release date of "The Interview," a parody film which has angered North Korea and triggered chilling threats from hackers. "In light of the decision by the majority of our (theater) exhibitors not to show the film 'The Interview,' we have decided not to move forward with the... theatrical release," it said in a statement. 1. Wi-Fi at a local coffee shop isn’t working

2. “What’s the fine for jay walking?”

3. Pizza not fresh; wants a replacement slice

4. “What’s the number for my travel agency?”

5. Caller phoned 9-1-1 to ask for a taxi referral
